Post-Release Roadmap

On launch day KennyMakesGames published a Post-Release Roadmap explaining what missed the 1.0 cut and what to expect next. This page restates that plan in wiki form and connects it to systems you already play.

Pair it with the living Post-Launch Hotfixes page — several “week one” items already shipped.

Immediate priority (weeks 1–2)

The roadmap promised rapid bug and balance patches as players hit higher difficulties and later tables. That promise is already visible in Hotfixes #1–#6: score ceilings, crash hunts, Abandon Ball, Easy curse removal, and performance work under stacked Rituals.

Keep feeding useful reports through official channels listed on Official Links. Detailed logs were credited with finding the Graphics Jobs crash in Hotfix #4.

Next few months (rest of 2026)

Dedicated cabinet and VPin support — Cult of PiN already works on vertical monitors and maps to many cabinet controls, but the roadmap calls out adjustable camera angles, HUD offsets, secondary backglass display support, and related QoL before year-end.

Expanded boss encounters and audio — fourteen unique boss spells already exist with passives; Kenny wants more spell variations, custom music, and visual flavour so bosses feel less interchangeable. Until that lands, telegraph literacy on How to Beat Bosses remains the skill ceiling.

Consoles and content (2027+)

Xbox and Nintendo Switch ports — porting work had already started by launch, with an early-2027 target once the PC build is stable.

Content drops — a backlog of unused Glyph, Blessing, and Curse ideas (plus community suggestions) is planned as gradual updates across the following year. Tier lists on this wiki will need re-checks whenever those land — start from Glyph Tier List and Blessings & Curses.

Demo save carry-over note

The roadmap reiterated demo-save support in the full release so collection progress can carry over, while leaderboards remain distinct. Treat Steam leaderboards as a fresh climb even if your Glyph book looks familiar — see Leaderboards.

How to read a solo-dev roadmap

Dates are intent, not contracts. Prefer shipped hotfixes over aspirational bullets when they conflict. If a guide on this wiki disagrees with a brand-new patch, trust the patch and file a mental ticket to re-read Patch History.

Practical planning for players

  • Learning now: stay on Easy (no Curses) until cradle is automatic — Difficulty Guide.
  • Soft-locks: bind Abandon Ball before deep runs — Abandon Ball & Soft-Locks.
  • Cabinet owners: watch Updates for VPin camera/HUD news rather than forcing awkward layouts today.
  • Completionists: bank Act VI clears and ball unlocks; content drops will layer on top of collection progress — Unlocks Hub.

Expectation management

Cabinet owners can play now on vertical monitors but should watch for camera/HUD/backglass tools later in 2026. Console players should treat early 2027 as a target, not a store page yet. Content drop hunters should keep collection progress warm so new Glyphs have somewhere to land.

Page takeaway

Play cabinets now with vertical monitors; expect camera/HUD/backglass tools later in 2026. Treat early-2027 consoles as targets. Keep collections warm for Glyph content drops.

Intent versus shipped code

Week-one patches already arrived as Hotfixes #1–#6. Cabinet/VPin camera, HUD offsets, and backglass support remain 2026 goals. Extra boss flavour and music remain goals. Xbox and Switch remain early-2027 targets after PC stability. Glyph/Blessing/Curse drops will need tier-list revisits. Demo saves may carry collection progress; Steam boards stay a fresh climb. Dates are intent, not contracts.

Cabinet players: vertical monitors work now; adjustable cameras, HUD offsets, and backglass are promised later in 2026. Boss hunters: fourteen spells exist; more flavour and music are promised. Console players: early 2027 is a target after PC stability, not a pre-order. Collectors: keep Act VI clears and Glyph books warm for content drops. Always prefer shipped hotfixes when they conflict with bullets. Related: Official Links.
