Ball Tier List

Balls are loadouts. This tier list groups them by learning ease, boss-kill speed, Multiball synergy, and Endless ceiling rather than a single global ladder.

Learning tier

Balls with readable speed and forgiving Rituals belong first — details in Starter Ball Picks.

Boss-speed tier

Balls whose Rituals create burst windows climb bonus-table rates (Bonus Tables).

Chaos tier

Multiball-leaning balls explode Endless ceilings but demand nudge literacy (Cradle & Nudge).

Unlock reminder

Ownership gates everything — Ball Unlocks.

How to evaluate yourself

If you drain before Act III, drop a chaos ball. If bosses outlast timers, pick burst identity. If Endless scores stall, add multiplier Glyphs from Glyph Tier List.

Hands tier vs theory tier

Your personal ranking should weight drain rate heavily. A theoretically strong ball that drains you in Act II is a learning liability.

Boss-race experiments

Time how long bosses live with each owned ball under similar Glyph quality. That single metric clarifies bonus-table potential better than vibes.

Chaos graduation

Graduate to chaos balls only after nudge cooldown awareness is automatic.

Tier volatility

Hotfix-driven passive and Ritual mission changes move the ladder. Re-evaluate Chancellor and any ball whose Endless plan depended on Multiball deleting blockers.

Evaluation axes

Learning ease, boss-kill speed, Multiball synergy, Endless ceiling, and hotfix fragility. A ball that needed blocker-immune Endless Multiball drops until you invent a new plan. Publish your personal ranking with the date and hotfix number mentally attached.

Page takeaway

Score learning ease, boss speed, Multiball synergy, Endless ceiling, and hotfix fragility separately. Anything that needed blocker-immune Endless Multiball must be rebuilt.

Rank with a hotfix date attached

Score learning ease, boss-kill speed, Multiball synergy, Endless ceiling, and hotfix fragility as separate axes. A ball that needed blocker-immune Endless Multiball must be rebuilt. Chancellor’s economy is weaker. Cheater and Warden fire their starters faster after the six-mission change. Publish your personal ladder with the date mentally attached, not as eternal gospel.

Learning tier favours readable speed and forgiving Rituals. Boss-speed tier favours burst Rituals that win bonus timers. Chaos tier explodes Endless ceilings and also explodes drains if nudge literacy is missing. Hotfix fragility is a new axis: Endless blocker rules and Chancellor economy already moved names. Date your list. Related: Starter Ball Picks.

Personal ladder template

Write four names under Learning, four under Boss speed, and a warning list for Endless fragility. Revisit after Hotfix notes mention a passive or Ritual mission count. Ownership still gates everything — Ball Unlocks. Hands tier beats theory tier: if you drain, the ball is not S for you this week. Re-rank after you own four balls, not after you watch one trailer. Weight, starting Ritual, and Endless blocker honesty will shuffle names more than flavour. Write the date on your list. If drain rate is high, demote chaos balls regardless of theory. If bosses outlast timers, promote burst identities. If Endless scores stall, look at multiplier Glyphs instead of swapping mains every Act.

Fragility notes worth writing

List balls that depended on Endless Multiball deleting blockers. List balls whose shop plan needed 100 percent Act-up mana. List balls whose Ritual needed eight missions and now need six. Those three lists explain more rank movement than any static chart. Update them when Steam news names the ball. Hands rank beats trailer rank. If you cannot cradle it, it is not high for you this week even if Endless theory looks spicy. Revisit after you own four options and after any named passive hotfix.

If a ball needs Endless Multiball to delete blockers, write a new Endless plan before you keep an old letter grade. Ownership still gates the list: Ball Unlocks.
