Achievements Guide

Cult of PiN ships with 51 Steam achievements that double as a soft curriculum. Instead of hunting codes, chase these goals to learn systems naturally: Ritual mastery, damage thresholds, Multiball, clean nudging, and full-table clears.

Highlighted achievement themes

Store highlights include names like Tempest, Mana Hoarder, Multiball, No Tilt Lock, Centenary, 100 Mill Club, Inferno, Wrecked, Obliterated, and Bonus time. Treat them as breadcrumbs: Tempest and Inferno push Ritual literacy; damage clubs reward Glyph stacking; Bonus time pushes fast Boss Bumper kills for bonus tables.

No Tilt Lock — nudge freedom

Unlike classic pinball, Cult of PiN emphasises nudge without a traditional tilt lock punishing experimentation. Still respect cooldowns. Technique details live in Cradle & Nudge and Controls.

Multiball and Ritual achievements

Chaining the illuminated missions required for a Ritual — often eight green missions for Multiball — is both a skill check and an achievement path. Read Missions & Rituals before grinding.

Damage club strategy

Huge single-hit damage usually needs late Glyph multipliers, healthy mission damage, and sometimes Multiball chaos. Study Glyph Tier List and How to Beat Bosses.

Bonus table achievements

Beat bosses quickly to open bonus areas before they eat spare balls. See Bonus Tables.

Difficulty-gated clears

Some achievements ask for Easy/Medium-or-higher clears. Use Difficulty Guide to pick a lane that teaches without tilting you off the game.

Efficient achievement route

  1. Learn basics via Getting Started.

  2. Clear Act VI once (Act VI & Endless).

  3. Experiment with every unlocked ball (Ball Unlocks).

  4. Push Endless for score clubs while watching for Ritual achievements.

Achievements are a map, not a checklist to rush with guides-only play.

Achievement clustering

Cluster 1 is literacy: Multiball, Tempest-style Rituals, first clear. Cluster 2 is damage clubs and rare hit thresholds. Cluster 3 is bonus-table and difficulty climbs. Play clusters in order so you do not softlock motivation on a 100 mill chase before you can cradle.

Evidence-based grinding

Record which table and ball earned each achievement. That log becomes a personal tier list more honest than any global claim. Cross-check ideas with Glyph Tier List only after you have two clear samples.

Avoid achievement tunnel vision

If an achievement run destroys your enjoyment, return to Review mindset: you bought a pinball roguelike for feel. Achievements are a map, not a debt.

Sanitised launch achievements

Hotfix #5 refreshed Pinball Wizard, Table Wizard, and Pinball God because they could trigger incorrectly; they should catch up when you reopen the game if prerequisites were already met. Hotfix #1 fixed Pinball God false triggers and the 100,000,000 score unlock. Hotfix #3 improved missing unlock checks. Hotfix #4 fixed Tempest requiring 100 triggers instead of 1.

Achievement as curriculum

Treat named goals (Tempest, Multiball, No Tilt Lock, Inferno, Bonus time, damage clubs) as a soft syllabus that pushes Ritual literacy, nudge confidence, and boss speed — not as busywork.

Practical achievement routing

Early: No Tilt Lock style nudge confidence and first Multiball clears. Mid: Ritual-named achievements (Tempest, Inferno) once Altar upgrades are understood. Late: damage clubs and Bonus time once boss timers are consistent. If an achievement fails to pop after a sanitising hotfix, fully restart the client so catch-up checks can run.

Page takeaway

Route achievements as a syllabus: nudge confidence first, Ritual-named goals second, damage and Bonus-time clubs last. Catch-up fixes in Hotfixes #1/#3/#5 mean a full restart can grant overdue unlocks without replaying every Act.

Catch-up after sanitising

Pinball Wizard, Table Wizard, and Pinball God were cleaned in Hotfix #5 because they could fire incorrectly. If you already met the requirements, fully quit and reopen the client so catch-up checks run. Hotfix #1 also fixed a false Pinball God pop and the 100 million score trophy; Hotfix #4 fixed Tempest demanding one hundred triggers instead of one.

Use achievements as a syllabus rather than a shopping list: nudge confidence first, named Rituals second, damage clubs and Bonus time last. Pair this page with Rituals Explained and How to Beat Bosses so the trophy you chase actually teaches a skill you will reuse in Endless.
